Ahoy Mateys! … Thank you for making Port Royal, The Pirates Realm, the 11th annual Swashbuckler Ball on Thursday, February 25, 2010 a great success! Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center was transformed into our own Port Royal, and it was an exciting evening filled with piratical fun and frolic. Grog and grub, entertainment, games, raffle and contests were enjoyed by all. Pirates and Bonnie Lasses found treasure at the Live & Silent Auctions. Many stayed to dance and enjoy the music of Gigi King & Latimer Street.

The Swashbuckler Ball is Florida Oceanographic’s major fundraiser and supports our mission to inspire environmental stewardship of Florida’s coastal ecosystems through education and research. This is being accomplished through our teaching and programming to change the generational views of how we care for and preserve our unique environments.
